 | Gimpbach
          Location:
from Bad Ischl you drive towards Gmunden near the lake Traunsee.
At the intersection to the Attersee (another lake) you leave the main
street and follow the Mitterweissenbach upstream. After the Weissenbacher
saddle the Gimpbach joins the Äusseren Weissenbach from the right.
          Suitability:
         Kayaking
          River Description:

            sometimes logs General:
Enter directly at the feet of a waterfall after walking up for
about an hour. Dierctly under the bridge a rock with a dangerous
undertow can ge found. The ride continues with a few drops till
you reach the S, which can be portaged at the left riverside. After
the S a few higher drops follow (the first is about 3-4 meters and
follows about 6-7 meters after the S) till a high wall seems to
cover the whole river from the right. It is quite important to go
down (boof) on the left here. Now easier fun cascades and an easy
end follow till you reach the bridge where you parked your car.
The whole stretch can be inspected while walking up... Difficulty:
             IV-V
              Water Level:
if the stone plate on the left river side under the bridge is
covered with water you can go
              Best Time:
             Snowmelt or after/during heavy rain
              Rodeo Holes and Stuff:
it just drops (grabbing, hammering, boofing .... FUN!!!)
