Untere Strubklamm

You are only allowed to enter this canyon with one of following companies:
Bachlerteam, Club Alpin, Club montee, Club Zwilling

Location:
From Salzburg south on the Highway. Exit at Hallein. Turn right twice to the hospital and continue on the Wiestalbundesstrasse towards Adnet. Follwoing this street will bring you to the Wiestal lake. Below the dam the Untere Strubklamm starts.

General:
The Untere Strubklamm has nearly no running water and no currents. It is a simple canyoning/hiking tour. It overs rock scrambling and some nice jumps. Just two jumps have to be done to be able to get through. The offer a deep pool and are about 3-4 meters high. You can find lots of additional jumps up to more than 10 meters. Climbing up ranges from easy to very dangerous. Rock climbing skills help. The few swim passages are all less than 50 meters long.

You can turn round all the tie till you reach the 2 higher jumps. Some scrambling is required after them.

Difficulty:
Easy. A wet suit and water proof shoes are enough (Teva sandals recommended). Aount of time: around 2 hours.
Best Time:
hot summer days, the water is cold, the first part can be done in winter as well but afterwards ice waterfalls and frozen pools await you-dangerous
